How To Transition To Fall

Friends…how do you transition in to the fall season when it’s still really warm outside? I’ve always felt that this was a challenge! I want to wear my fall styles, but oftentimes they’re just too much for the temps! One way of thinking about it, is to think fall colors, or fall prints (my plaid post), or even when it comes to your makeup! These shoes are the PERFECT accessory for transitioning in to the new season! In fact, these would work ANY season I think. Aren’t they adorable with the red striped bow on the toe??? They have a 3 1/2″ inch heel which is a little higher than I normally wear. But with the bow across the front of the foot, they feel surprisingly stable and secure on my foot! I’m so in love with them!

I have put them here with these cute lightweight striped palazzo pants that I wore in Florida, a metallic tee, and hat. This still is cool and lightweight, but the leopard print shoes add just a touch of fall! When it gets a little cooler I can perhaps wear the same pants and shoes but put a sweatshirt with them instead! This would be such a cute look with the shoes! When I shop for the most part, I buy key pieces and NOT outfits! This way, I can visualize the piece being worn many different ways….like this sweatshirt. It can be worn SO MANY WAYS, dressed up or down!

I’ve made a shopping board here for you, of some really cute transitional pieces to work in to your closet! Use your imagination! Think color, pattern, and texture without the weight! If you choose to wear something a little heavier in weight, such as a scarf….wear it with just a short tee shirt! Hope this helps you all transition in to the beautiful fall season!

  1. Shauna, loving the animal print. I’ve purchased two animal print tops from Chico’s recently and can hardly wait for cooler temps so I can wear them! One of them:

Husband and I are on a “Let’s explore Utah!” road trip with Ebikes in tow. We just arrived in Park City and are anxious to try out the bike paths and trails. Thinking of you as we wend our way through your state! 😉 Oh, BTW, what was the name of the fast heathy food chain you recently mentioned? I think we’d like it!
