Plaid is always so fun to style! Today I wanted to share three ways to wear THIS plaid, and specifically speaking about this skirt. It’s ON SALE and really, really comfortable. The fabric looks like it could maybe be uncomfortable, but it’s actually super soft and warm for those cold weather temperatures!
I’ve styled it here with a gray cashmere oversized sweater. This sweater I have had for SO MANY YEARS. It’s from Rag and Bone and has the perfect crop, and the cashmere is so luxurious you can wear this casual sweater, dressed up very easily. I’ve linked a similar one here. I added my beige suede boots and Dean Davidson jewelry to finish it off.
I think my favorite way to wear this skirt is casually. I LOVE to have skirts and dresses that I can wear that way. I’ve said before, that wearing a skirt or a dress in a laidback sort of way, can make you feel so feminine without being uncomfortable. THIS plaid skirt is perfect for that!
When shopping for clothes, it’s always good to notice the details of a particular item. This one has the big buttons up the front, pockets, and fringe! All fun details that have added so much personality to the skirt! I want to show you how to wear it different ways….. casual, office, and dressed up! Take a look!
LOOK ONE DRESSED DOWN~
This graphic sweatshirt is so cute I had to order for myself. I think it’s unique and adorable and such fun with the skirt! I have styled it with some very inexpensive flat boots, a faux fur trimmed denim jacket and a beanie. If you need something warmer than this jacket, try something like THIS!
LOOK TWO FOR THE OFFICE~
A few of you have asked me to style more outfits for the office. As a lot of you are moving more in to that environment, I will definitely post more ways to look chic in the workplace. This skirt can absolutely look professional. How do you like this? I think I may need to duplicate and wear it possibly to church? For a little edge and fun, add a pin-striped shirt instead of plain white!
LOOK THREE DRESSED UP~
Can you dress up a skirt like this? I think yes you can. It may not be one to wear for a very dressed up kind of function, but certainly you can bling it up very easily! I’ve put a couple of options for tops here….. anything feminine and sexy. Add some statement heels, fishnets, faux fur jacket and bling and your plaid suddenly looks very dressed up!!!!

Sometimes it takes just a hint of someone else’s ideas, to spur on your own unique way of styling something. I would love to know how you would wear this plaid. Can you think of three different ways? It sure will be fun to have for winter!

I love, love seeing a look styled different ways! The slide show was helpful, too. My new goal getting dressed is to choose a different way of wearing my closet! Your notes about staying positive are thoughtful.
Kathy I think no matter who we are, we all have a different way of seeing things. Even for me! So having someone else presenting new ideas is always beneficial! I’m inspired by other women every single day! Take care and THANK YOU for stopping by! Have a wonderful week! XO
