It’s very easy for me to tell you to SET YOUR SITES HIGH…… but it wasn’t always easy for me to do. This passed year, actually these passed couple of years, I have probably grown more than I have in my adult life. I have dealt with things that I would have told myself there was NO WAY I COULD, just as few as 5-10 years ago! But I did make it through, and a big part of that was PRAYER. There were many times when my confidence was so low I felt it was impossible to change my path. I’ve always had too much hesitation when it came to knowing my potential.
I wonder had I have told myself to SET YOUR SITES HIGH and to DREAM BIG, if that would have helped me get through all these struggles easier? I’m not sure, it seems like it would have helped. But now I can look back and see how I was much stronger than I ever realized. I DID make it through the storm, and am now living with so much less stress, which is incredible! To be able to wake up every day with an overwhelming feeling of happiness is indeed a blessing!
These pictures are a throwback to when I went to Hawaii last March, with my then boyfriend….. for my birthday. It was an incredible week and I was very spoiled with all kinds of fun! I was extremely happy and excited about the shift that my life was taking. But at the same time, there still was this feeling of “How can it be this good, this must be a dream?!!” Do any of you have feelings like that?
I’m saying goodbye to 2019 with a load of gratitude in my heart. It was a year of SO MUCH JOY! I am grateful to know that I’m stronger than I realized. I’m grateful to know that GOD is real, and that HE has definitely orchestrated my life in such precision. I’m grateful for my husband, who I can trust completely. I’m grateful for my boys and their support. I’m grateful for my seven grandchildren and the SUNSHINE that they bring to our family. I’m grateful for my sweet mama who is a shining example to her posterity. I’m grateful for ALL OF YOU! You supported me, stood by me, and encouraged me! THANK YOU!
The point I want to make here is to say to you…. and to myself, SET YOUR SITES HIGH! KNOW that YOU can get through tough things and come out stronger! DREAM BIG! The word BELIEVE is one of my favorite words. I used to have it painted on the wall of my old house. Its such an important word and one we need to use and think of daily! BELIEVE!
Wishing you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR! It seems crazy that we are in the year of 2020! Good things are going to happen….I know it! BELIEVE in yourself. Push yourself to do better! Live YOUR best life!
