NATIONAL LIPSTICK DAY AND MY FAVORITES

Ladies you’ve heard me say over and over that LIPSTICK is my favorite cosmetic! I wear it ALL THE TIME…. if not LIPSTICK, then LIPGLOSS. My lips feel so bare and dry without it, and I feel like more than anything else, lipstick and gloss can enhance the way I look the fastest. And yes, even more than mascara!

So in honor of NATIONAL LIPSTICK DAY, which is today the 29th, I’m going to show you all my FAVORITES and how and what I wear them with! You probably know  this about me too….. the  BRIGHTER AND BOLDER, the BETTER!!!

Not all of you will be in to the vibrant shades that I love, and that is perfectly ok. They certainly aren’t for everyone. HOPEULLY I’m linking enough variety for anyone to be able to find a color that suits them.

Even if I’m not wearing a full-blown lipstick, I’ll have THIS on. In fact I even wear it to bed! This also works really well over a red or pink matt lipstick when it starts to feel dry or needs a bit of a refresh. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS product!

I LOVE lip color so much, that I even have my own brand! You can SHOP THEM HERE! They are all bold fun colors and long-lasting. They feel really good on your lips, and no stickiness…… I PROMISE! Purple, red, and pink are my colors!

NOW TO MY FAVORITE SHADES~

REDS~ Every girl needs a good red lipstick. There are cool shades and warm shades. A big bold red lip is SO CLASSIC. You will feel so ladylike and glam in a RED lipstick. My all-time FAVORITE is THIS (Devoted To Danger). A lot might think it’s more orange, it’s actually sort of in-between. THIS is my other favorite (Ruby Woo), a more TRUE RED and more cool than warm. Wear RED with anything from worn denim, to an LBD! It just depends on how GLAM you want to feel!

PINKS~ This is the color I probably wear the most. It’s so girly and feminine and I swear goes with everything! THIS PINK lipstick is my FAVORITE (Candy Yum Yum)! I would love to try THIS ONE, I like NARS, but haven’t ever tried this shade! THIS is only $5.99! WOW! Haven’t tried but for the price, it’s a great one to pick up! The name of the last shade linked here is called St. Germaine. BEAUTIFUL!! When I’m not wearing lipstick I usually have THIS PINK GLOSS (Love Child) on or THIS PINK GLOSS on (Partial To Pink)! I wear pink with nearly everything…. red, purple, blue, coral, and neutrals.

ORANGES~ I love to wear orange or coral lipstick with my blues. It seems whenever I’m in blue, it’s orange that seems the best pop! BUT….. I also don’t shy away from wearing orange with orange as pictured below! It’s the punchiest color! I LOVE THIS formula and it’s so inexpensive!

PURPLE~ MY CHIC OVER 50 brand in the purple, is my FAVORITE! You may not wear a purple shade as much, but it’s so rich and glamorous especially in the fall and winter. Wear it when you really want to amp up the drama and elevate your look! It’s bold like red, but a little different! It’s unexpected and fun! I usually save my purple for when I’m really dressing up!

NUDE~ I wear nude the very least. But if I do wear it from time to time….. usually when I have a more dramatic eye. My FAVORITE NUDE is THIS (Viva Glam II). I hardly ever line my lips in ANY COLOR, just not patient enough to spend the extra time lining. There are some beautiful NUDE GLOSSES HERE! I wear these by themselves a lot while at home or even playing golf or hiking. But they also look gorgeous over any of your lipsticks. I mix and match glosses and lipsticks all the time!

National Lipstick Day…. my favorites will give you all the punch you want in a lipstick! If you’re not a lipstick wearer, you should at least try! MY GLOSSES are the best introduction in to COLOR on your lips. As I said above, these are creamy, long-lasting, and super fun colors of RED, PINK, and PURPLE!
