My Chicos Style In August

My CHICOS style in August just happens to be all about the thought of moving in to the fall season. This is the time of year we start to crave the cool weather, and along with that comes jackets, sweaters, scarves, and LAYERS! This is my FAVORITE time of year, and to me the most fun to SHOP!

Each of my outfits are made up of super fabulous pieces to layer up! I LOVE them all! This above, is the silk shirt dress. I am such a fan of this type of dress because it’s absolutely THE MOST VERSATILE kind of dress to own. I honestly wear most of mine kimono style. Fun over jeans, shorts, and swimsuits!

Here of course I’ve styled it as a dress, but then have added this sassy leopard print denim jacket! Isn’t the jacket awesome? Aside from my PEACE LOVE CHIC jacket….. THIS one is my fave!!!! The belt is actually sold out…. SO SORRY, because it is just beautiful! I’ve linked a similar one here. By wearing the belt around the jacket I was able to define my waist, but you could also wear a belt like this around the dress and then the jacket over the top and open. Either works, depending on what YOU are comfortable with! I liked the white booties with this look because it’s a great way to add a little more fall vibe to it but still keep it light for summer!

One of the things I love the most about Chicos, are their prints. A lot of them are designed and brought to life right in-house! This next look, is all about the wrap (or kimono as I usually call them). This print and combination of colors here is spectacular!!!! There is a matching tank that could be worn underneath for a more sophisticated look. I loved it with an all denim ensemble going on underneath! Again the kimono can be worn like this, or belted, or even brought up and tied at the waist. I’ve just finished making a style reel that shows each of these. Click HERE to watch!

The last look is this ADORABLE athleisure set….. pants and top. This would be in my TOP TEN EVER things from Chicos, and that says a lot, because I’ve been wearing and showing their clothes for at least four years now. But the fabric is super silky and soft and comfortable. Wear it with a denim jacket over the top, or separately with other tops or other pants. I LOVE this set with heels! It’s very easy to jazz up a bit and make it look much dressier!

Again all of these pieces are really great to change up and mix around. How would you style them? What are your favorite ways to dress this time of year? I know it can be a challenge, but remember to think about lightweight layers, fall colors, and a little bit of both summer and fall mixed together in one!
