GINGHAM NOSTALGIC STYLES – 3 FRESH WAYS TO WEAR IT
Is there anything more nostalgic than gingham? This sweet checked pattern instantly took me back to my childhood…… those summer outfits that were sewn by my mama. When I spotted this darling ginghams skirt at Target, it took me right back to those special memories. And at just $25??? I had to grab it!
This skirt is lightweight, breathable, and 100% cotton….. so ideal for hot summer days. The subtle side slit gives it a modern touch and the length is just right. And remember THIS FLORAL SKIRT? I’m styling this Target skirt exactly like I did that one….. three easy looks that will always work. Let’s get started!
THREE WAYS TO WEAR THIS SKIRT
LOOK ONE: graphic tee and sneakers is a summer go-to mindset. I tucked mine in but wear it out if you prefer. My tee here is a bit on the cropped side, so if you choose an oversized fit, make sure to tie or belt to give yourself some shape. Add your fave sneakers and hat to the mix….. ready for a day at the farmer’s market!
LOOK TWO: white ruffled sleeve tee….. I’ve seriously worn this top with everything. It comes in lots of colors too and is super cute! It has a feminine vibe, is clean and fresh, as well as dramatic! I liked the red sandals (from Target and only $10), but adding a kitten heel to it with a couple pieces of bold jewelry, dresses it up for something special!
LOOK THREE: a ruffled denim shirt and belt. This shirt is another that I’ve worn so many times. I love a denim shirt worn untucked, but belted. It definitely adds the shape I look for, and the belt is comfy and unfussy! Add a fun hat, sunnies, and some cute shoes and it gives the skirt a new look.
