Have you all noticed that long denim shorts are making a wave in the fashion world? The last couple of years the shorts I’ve seen have been shorter than what I like. I sort of ditched the shorts the last couple of summers, and wore dresses more. But I’ve noticed the last month or so, the long denim coming back on to the scene. I wasn’t a huge fan, but wanted to give them a try again.
THIS is my favorite way to wear them, with a cute kimono! I love this look with either heels or flats. I’ll be posting these same shorts over the weekend with some flat sandals in a more dressed down look! I think the kimono gives them such a great updated look. I think they have a tendency to be a bit frumpy, so what you put with them is vital! Someone suggested a blazer, which I think is a darling idea. I have a linen one, that would be perfect for summer and give them some sophistication!

Hi Mich! There are SO MANY OPTIONS with kimonos! They can actually be cooler than not wearing one, because they create a breeze! You should try! XO

I feel the same way you felt, when it comes to shorts…but I am intrigued with the idea of maybe pairing them with something unexpected, like a kimono or blazer. My leg were never my strongest asset and you ARE right, those long shorts can look a little frumpy. What I understand from you is that they need some pizzazz!!! I just may give them another try.
