WHAT TO PACK FOR A BAJA MEXICO VACATION

WHAT TO PACK FOR A BAJA MEXICO VACATION

I’ve been packing over here….. for BAJA MEXICO! This getaway should be easy because it’s only for five days. I’m expecting zero problems with an overweight suitcase at check-in! For this trip, I’ve focused on colorful, comfortable pieces that are also versatile. Clearly, traveling light really does make everything so much easier. For this trip, I’ve focused on colorful and comfortable pieces.

I’m taking a couple of colorful sets, one a skirt and top, the other pants and top. I’m such a believer in sets for travel. Wear the pieces together, then split them up and suddenly you have several different outfits. I’m also wearing a set from Chicos (sold separately) that will be perfect for the airplane. So many other fun things that I think will be perfect for Baja!

Three swimsuits with coverups should be plenty for a five-day getaway! Plus, I always look for coverups that can easily be worn for other activities too. After all, I want my beachside looks to work for more than just the beach. Whether I’m heading to lunch or exploring, I love pieces that can do double duty. And of course, I’ll be packing some denim shorts. I’ve always loved wearing them beachside or poolside because they’re comfortable and so easy to throw on over a swimsuit. Besides, versatility is always something I pay attention to when packing for a vacation.

A couple of yoga and workout outfits are coming too…. I NEVER forget my workouts while traveling. We’ll be doing some yoga, as well as plenty of walking, and hoping for a horseback ride! These pieces are also good for when you’re just lounging around.

I’m taking colorful bracelets, beaded necklaces, a couple pairs of sunnies, of course my hat, and always a couple of scarves. Certainly, scarves even for Baja. They are great on the plane, tied around my head, on a bag, or as a belt. Accessories are your best friend when traveling because they don’t take up much suitcase space, and they can change up almost anything.

My rule for any trip is…. almost everything needs to work with more than one other piece, and more like two other things. And although this trip isn’t even a week long, I’ve got lots to choose from. Unquestionably, Baja calls for color, comfort, versatility, and hopefully…. a suitcase that closes easily!
