Today I’m recapping my GIRLS WEEKEND AT VINTNERS INN a couple of weeks ago. And oh how FABULOUS it was…..short but SO SWEET! The time with my girlfriends gets more and more important to me. They love and support me like sisters, AS I DO THEM! Every aspect of our trip was LOVELY to say the least.
I left early on Friday morning, not knowing really all who would be on this trip. My two travel partners, Jamie and SheShe, and some other bloggers and some writers were all invited. On the plane over to Sonoma California, I got out of my seat right before we landed to use the restroom. On my way back to my seat, I passed guess who??????? SheShe!!!! We had no idea we were on the same flight, and sort of caused a ruckus of excitement hugging and laughing and so surprised to see each other!!! We quickly caught up and got off the plane to meet our third girl, Jamie. What fun it was to see them both again….Baja in October was the last time we saw each other. I LOVE these girls more than words.
We were so excited for this weekend and to be able to see the GORGEOUS Vintners Inn and SPA I might add!!!! It already sounded like heaven! We arrived on a gorgeous day and to the MOST STUNNING grounds of this little slice of heaven! The grounds were immaculate and the attention to detail was apparent! We were seated right away to a lunch out on the patio where we met the other girls that were there. All beautiful and YOUNG! It was an interesting mix, but all had in common a LOVE for FASHION and anything BEAUTIFUL!
So a little bit about the four-diamond Vintners Inn. It’s located just 60 miles north of San Francisco. They have been rated one of the BEST HOTELS in Sonoma County. It is surrounded by 92 acres of vineyards and landscaped gardens. These grounds attract almost as many as does the winery Ferrari-Carano. At the winery during the spring season, over 10,000 tulips bloom out, which has inspired a hotline that alerts tulip lovers when they’re at their peak! You can wander the Inn’s property as you like OR arrange for a guided tour. NO MATTER the season, the gardens are delightful and constantly changing in color scheme.
Rhonda Carano is a second-generation Italian-American and a native of Reno, Nevada. In 1979, when Rhonda and her late husband Don were searching for wines to enhance the wine lists at their Eldorado Hotel Casino in Reno, they were introduced to the beauty of Sonoma County’s wine country, which led them to purchase a 60-acre ranch in the Alexander Valley. Realizing the area’s potential, the Caranos acquired additional vineyard land and then founded Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery in 1981, with the first wines bearing the Ferrari-Carano label released in 1986. In 2000, they acquired Vintners Inn and the adjacent John Ash & Co. restaurant. What a place they have created!!!
Sure they have all the wine, but the food is outstanding. It’s all the art of the Executive Chef Thomas Schmidt! EVERYTHING I ate there was scrumptious! From breakfast to dinner and snacks, to cookies on your bed at night! Their culinary gardens produce chard, tomatoes, figs, lettuces, zucchini, cabbage, peppers, and berries! Even….and I tried one….edible flowers! They scour the local farmers markets for fresh ingredients to add to their own herbs and veggies. It’s all prepared so ARTFULLY!!! We were treated to some AMAZING meals, each one so beautifully presented!
Now let me get to the SPA! This is where I could have and did spend most of my day on Saturday! We were all treated to an incredible massage! The ambiance was so peaceful and relaxing, I truly LOVED it there. The goal at Vintners Inn Spa, is to give you the most relaxing and luxurious spa experience ever! And it truly was. It’s equipped with beautiful robes, towels, and sandals and surrounded by a heated soaking pool, outdoor pool, steam sauna, fitness room, and a beautiful spa boutique.
Connecting with the other bloggers was just amazing. I learned from each of them as we talked about managing our time, our content, negotiations, and goals! I loved meeting each of these LOVELY women and hope to meet up with them again soon. I walked away feeling like I had not only de-stressed, but all full of new ideas! I LOVED being on yet another girl’s weekend at Vintners Inn with my girls Jamie and SheShe. We practically know each other inside and out. Vintners Inn provided us with such a gorgeous setting to renew our friendship! Vintners Inn also caters and hosts weddings…….hmmmmmmm…did I just say WEDDING?!!
It’s amazing when us three travel together, how we somehow seem to bring coordinating looks to wear. We think so much alike, however we do have our own unique style! This shoot however, in our Chaco Canyon Trading jewels, was planned. We paired these beautiful pieces of silver and turquoise with our CHICOS shirts and Cecelia New York booties. We fit right in to the gorgeous vineyards at Vintners Inn. We also loved our Eliza J Dresses as we always do! LOVE their styles! My dress is right here.
And there you have it. We had such a FANTASTIC time on our girlfriend weekend at Vintners Inn. I wonder where we can go next? Hmmmmm, stay tuned friends! We for sure have some awesome plans and all coming up very soon! Thanks you to EVERYONE at Vintner’s Inn who made our trip so special….because it truly was!
