CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT JUMPSUITS – A WARDROBE STAPLE FOR ME
Jumpsuits have been a wardrobe staple for me for years…. and I truly do mean years! There’s something so fun and playful about them, and I love the one-and-done idea. When I discovered this Daily Practice Horizon Wide-Leg Jumpsuit, I couldn’t resist! Mine is the moss color, which I consider a neutral….. seriously I don’t know a color it doesn’t work with.
I was able to purchase this in a petite size, which makes such a difference. Unquestionably the fit through the body is perfect, and for a short girl this is often a challenge. I like the short sleeves, making it suitable for colder and warmer months. The deep V-neck is another detail I adore…. it’s both feminine and flattering. Pile on your necklaces or a fun scarf, you can accessorize it to fit any occasion. The ties and ruching on the legs is a fun twist too. It’s definitely playful and modern! I’m so tempted to buy it in another color!
SEE HOW I CHOSE TO STYLE IT
FIRST off is very casual with some white Chelsea boots, athletic socks, and a colorful and bold bracelet. I kept it simple with my signature gold hoops. EASY!
____________
SECOND I dressed it up with some metallic platforms and lacy socks. I added a long pearl strand and pearl hoops. LOVE these shoes with this look. For added warmth, add a shorter length FAUX FUR JACKET. This one is ADORABLE!!!!!!
____________
THIRD is another dressed down look. I styled it with black patent leather pull-on waterproof boots and an army green embellished Alice and Olivia jacket. I added black sunnies to tie in with the boots along with a neck scarf. My jacket isn’t available, so I’ve linked up several others to give you a similar look.
____________
FOURTH I styled it dressed up with a fur hooded jacket and my favorite chic black booties. Add your favorite statement earrings and bracelets for a beautiful look. For something warmer, don’t be afraid to layer a shirt underneath….. possibly a BLACK TURTLENECK? This one has a tiny bit of sparkle.
____________
FIFTH I’ve layered a classic white button-down shirt underneath and added a designer belt. Belts are a great way to change the look of a jumpsuit up, as well as add some shape. I especially loved the wine colored bow heels with this and some fun earrings. Clearly this is a jumpsuit that can be dressed up.
____________
LASTLY is more casual…. or maybe dressed up to you? It’s all a matter of opinion I suppose. The colorful turtleneck adds a playful vibe, while the gold booties dress it up some. The belt adds some fun patter-play. I kept the jewelry simple because the outfit itself has a lot going on.
____________
Indeed this jumpsuit has quickly become one of my favorite pieces. It’s certainly proof that with the right details and creativity….. jumpsuits can be the ultimate wardrobe multitasker! Without a doubt, if you haven’t embraced the jumpsuit trend yet, this is one to try!!!!!!!
Shauna,
About your thought of the week, working too much. You seem to really enjoy your work, when you enjoy your job it is never work, so keep enjoying what you are doing. Just always have time for God, your husband and your family. Also take care of yourself, when you’re tired take a break. You know how important exercise and healthy foods are so you have that covered.
I know when I was working , I didn’t have time for exercise. Now that I’m retired I’m always at the gym and love it. I’m also in church more because I want to be not because I feel obligated.
By the way, love the jumpsuit!
Hi Carole….. what a sweet and thoughtful comment. THANK YOU! For sure GOD, FAMILY, and work are priority. Finding that perfect balance is so difficult! Sounds like you have a good idea of how things should be…. BRAVO!!!! Have a WONDERFUL week my friend! Come back again soon! XO
