Athleisure gets dressed up today on the blog! For most of us, we would have the tendency to wear our athleisure dressed down. For example this skirt and this jacket with a tee or tank and some flip-flops. And surely that would be very cute, and I have worn it that way. I’ve actually worn it with my golf shoes out on the golf course! It makes a great skirt for that, because it is really a SKORT with built-in shorts and great pockets! Actually it makes the perfect golf skirt! I got several compliments on it out there!!
But I wanted to show you how to take the same skirt/skort and jacket and dress it up. Both of these (skirt and jacket) are the kinds of things to pack in your suitcase for a vacation. It would make a GREAT travel outfit….. even on the airplane. It gives you a way to look CLASSY and still be COMFORTABLE! The option with the jacket, as another layer for those cold airplane rides, is a must for traveling!
Above, I’ve added my CHICOS striped linen shirt (a basic and goes with so much) and the scarf, with a dressier shoe. The shoe is still casual, but the platform and height make it look more polished. The hat just adds another cute element to this look! The hat by the way, is awesome! I’ve nearly worn it out already and we’re only in June!

I think this is DARLING for the upcoming holiday! The blue ikat pattern of the tunic is fun and when paired with a fabulous light blue pair of sandals, it gives it a nicer than casual look. And what about an all white hat? LOVE this one!
REMEMBER BLACK WILL DRESS ANYTHING UP…
This top (comes in black) has such a cool cut to it. It’s easy and laid back, but the puff sleeve and billowy style and the fact that it comes in black, will really dress up this skirt. I’ve paired it with some strapy sandals and gold accessories to make it shine even more. You could also switch out the top for this SASSY animal print camp shirt for this look as well!
A WAY TO WEAR IT DRESSED DOWN….
I love this fun tee! All you need is your favorite white sneakers and some cute accessories. These flip-flops would be cute, cool, and practical with this look as well! These are actually summertime essentials!
