ROAD TRIP STYLE ~ CUTE & COMFY
I’ve been on a road trip this past week, and wanted to share what I’ve been wearing to feel cute and comfy. Comfort is truly a non-negotiable, but that doesn’t mean I want to look like I’m headed to the gym.
We hit the road with my VERY HEAVY suitcase full of all the things to mix and match. That’s one of the perks of traveling by car, is that you can bring what you want!! And yes….. there was so much I didn’t wear! But no doubt that driving for hours in the car….. what you wear matters! Clothes that let me sit comfortably, explore with ease, and make me feel put together, is always the goal.
THINK LAYERS & COLORS
Road trips can take you through several temperatures in one day, so layers are your best friend. Lightweight sweaters, soft sweatshirts, scarves, or a denim jacket, can easily be tossed over an outfit and give you options without adding a lot of bulk.
I also love pieces that can be mixed and matched. I always try to pack within a color palette. It helps to give you so many more options on your trip.
Here are seven of the outfits I packed and wore on my trip. Hopefully they’ll give you a little inspiration for your next adventure!
DAY ONE ~
This was our first day, so mostly a travel day with a stop at Cathedral Gorge State Park in Nevada. My ATHLETA JOGGERS were exactly what I wanted for a day like this… comfortable and easy. I wear THIS TANK all the time, and it’s perfect layered under a SWEATSHIRT when the temperature changes. And these sleek WHITE SNEAKERS? The perfect finishing touch. My SUNNIES are super affordable, from Amazon, and my trusty CROSSBODY BAG goes with me everywhere.

DAY TWO ~
I have loved this set (sold separately) from Anthro…. PANTS HERE and SWEATSHIRT HERE. They’re incredibly comfortable, the cropped length is just right for my short frame, and navy is such a versatile color for any season.
The TOP HERE is another favorite of mine. It has a great fit, perfect arm coverage…. I love it so much that I have it in multiple colors! It also has a built-in panel that acts like a bra, which makes it extra good! I added a touch of color with THIS NECKLACE.

DAY THREE ~
These LEGGINGS are from Lululemon, and right from my closet, I’ve linked similar. The SWEATSHIRT and TEE are new, and this SCARF worked perfect. My scarves have proven to be probably my most used and most versatile accessory. They are such a fun way to easily change up your look.

DAY FOUR ~
These PANTS are from a few years ago from Athleta, and still available! I love the deep olive green color, consider it a neutral. The SWEATER is from Amazon and has such a great weight… not too thin and not too thick. My TEE is also from Athleta….. I’ve worn this particular style over and over again. My SNEAKERS (these are similar) are also from my closet, so linked similar as well. I had a SCARF this day, and always believe in packing a couple different scarves for an extra easy-on and easy-off layer.

DAY FIVE ~
I wore this look for our day exploring some easy trails….. a great mix of style and comfort. The JEANS are loose and easy to wear all day long. The CARDIGAN is new and still available and SO cute. I paired it with a WHITE TANK underneath (my tanks were great layering pieces), and the LEOPARD SNEAKERS are a pair I’ve had for years. I found a similar option for you to shop. And remember, leopard is a a neutral, so these ended up working with so many of the outfits I packed for this trip.

DAY SIX ~
For the drive back home, these PANTS were great! I have loved these from Adidas….. always SO much fun to wear. With all their personality, they make it so easy to get creative and put together different looks. And honestly, I love pieces like this that do the styling for me! My SWEATER is an inexpensive one from Amazon, and then my leopard SNEAKERS again were the finishing touch.

MY ROAD TRIP UNIFORM
The goal isn’t to overthink it…. although that’s my tendency. I just want outfits that feel like me, comfy enough to wear for the long drive, cute enough for wherever the day takes us, and versatile enough that I can wear them more than once.
