PALM SPRINGS FINALE | GIRLS’ GETAWAY
The final stop on our journey through California with my girlfriend SheShe, was in Palm Springs. With its retro vibe and diverse attractions set against the Coachella Valley’s desert landscape, Palm Springs offers an array of activities to suit anyone’s taste. From hiking, golfing, tennis, delicious dining, and shopping, there’s something for everyone here. This is why many choose to retire in this gorgeous community.
ABOUT THE LIMON BOUTIQUE HOTEL
Whenever I vacation, my accommodations have always been extremely important. They can truly make or break a vacation, and the LIMON BOUTIQUE HOTEL, exceeded all our expectations!!!!!! This has a mid-century luxe vibe and FULL of COLOR! It should be noted that the entire property of fourteen rooms, books as one, to accommodate weddings, golf trips, even family reunions. We were fortunate to have the entire place to ourselves during our stay, which was absolutely heaven for us!! Its retro design captures the essence of Palm Springs perfectly. The rooms all surround the pool area with a vibrant kitchen for all to share. In addition to all this, we couldn’t get enough of the backdrop for all kinds of photo shoots!
PALM SPRINGS AERIAL TRAMWAY
Our first stop was the PALM SPRINGS AERIAL TRAMWAY. This is a must-visit attraction that takes visitors on a thrilling ride, just over 8500 feet up, from the desert floor to the San Jacinto Mountains. The panoramic views are gorgeous, as the tram rotates slowly ascending up the mountain. You’ll get a stunning perspective of the valley below. It was especially chilly up on top, so we were really happy to have brought our coats….. and the hot chocolate up on top was just right!
AGUA CALIENTE CULTURAL MUSEUM
We took the opportunity to visit AGUA CALIENTE CULTURAL MUSEUM. This museum stands as a beacon of Native American heritage and cultural preservation. It’s located in the heart of downtown Palm Springs, and is 10,000 square feet. The museum is divided into five separate exhibition areas, each a piece of the Agua Caliente story. We were able to learn through the exhibits, artifacts, artwork, and interactive displays, all about the tribe’s past. Their connection to the land is fascinating to me. You will absolutely gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for the Agua Caliente people.
ABOUT PALM SPRINGS CUISINE
When it comes to dining experiences, Palm Springs offers an array of options. Among them, we lunched at LULU CALIFORNIA BISTRO, which perfectly aligned with our taste! The restaurant with its its colorful and bright ambiance, immediately caught our attention. And not only that but delectable locally-inspired dishes. What’s more during our visit, we had the opportunity to meet Joe, who oversees marketing for Palm Springs. Chatting with him over a tasty lunch added an extra layer of fun to our afternoon. We especially loved that he would spend that time with us, filling us in all the details. So, if you’re planning on a trip to Palm Springs, don’t miss out on LULUS, and ask for the chocolate dessert after your meal!
Visiting WILMA AND FRIEDA was exceptional…. a popular breakfast/brunch spot known for its scrumptious comfort food with a modern twist. It’s open daily from 8am – 2pm, and let me tell you if you are a biscuit lover…. it’s a MUST! Without a doubt, they have many delicious things, but in particular their biscuits are AMAZING!!!! I sure wish my daddy could have had the chance to try one, he always talked about biscuits! Whether you are in the mood for fluffy pancakes, a hearty burrito, or their famous French toast….. you’ll find something to satisfy your hunger! Also, it’s named after the owner’s two grandmothers, which is always a fun fact.
