WHAT I’M PACKING | CRUISE READY
Embarking on a cruise is an exciting experience….. a trip filled with relaxation and adventure too. I’ll be leaving on the weekend. I’ve had such fun choosing the perfect cruise wardrobe. Gathering all the necessary looks I’ll need from beachwear/poolside to dressed up dinners in the evenings, hopefully I have it all. Mixing and matching is so essential and so that’s always at the forefront of my thinking. With a strategic approach and perhaps some inspiration, you’ll be able to get through the packing process for your next vacation. I’ve linked all that is available, and similar items if they are sold out. Let’s get started……
WEAR IT AT LEAST TWO WAYS
When you’re cruising there can be a range of activities. You may be poolside, athleisure for the spa, or a sundress for an outing. It’s all about comfort and style, whether you’re relaxing or exploring. It will serve you well to be able to wear your pieces more than one way.
I’ve packed a good mix of everything….. tees, swimwear, and all style of shorts. I’ve also got plenty of swimwear, mostly LIMERICKI. I’m taking shorts and tanks from Lululemon and Athleta. Sarongs I can use for both daytime and nighttime, are also in my bag. These are really versatile for a cruise, and it’s smart to always have at least one.
You’ll see here in these looks I’ve styled one dressed up and one dressed down. I love to have pieces that can go either way. I’ve not accessorized anything, but remember what a difference accessories will make. I’ll certainly take my jewelry pouch full of my favorite bling. THESE EARRINGS are so cute and will for sure be in my bag.
A basic pair of white shorts will serve you well on a cruise. The stripe tee and flat sandals make it casual, while pairing it with heels and some statement jewelry, will dress them up. These from Chicos are fantastic because they don’t wrinkle!
My striped shirt pictured above with the white shorts and below with the floral pants is HERE. I found THIS ONE today at Chicos and it fits me a little better, just FYI. It has a more relaxed look, and fits better around the neck.
VERSATILITY IS KEY
When packing for a vacation, versatility is key. Opt for items that can be mixed and matched easily to create various outfits, ensuring you’re prepared for any occasion without overpacking. By choosing versatile pieces that can transition seamlessly from day to night, will take all the guess work out of dressing.
I think I’m changing my mind about these white pants below. They are a little heavy, and I’m trying to watch the weight of my suitcase. However I wanted to show them, because they are a fun take on white pants for spring and summer. I would have loved them more here, styled with a belt. I did find THESE WHITE PANTS today, and think I’m going to swap out because they are lighter.
I picked up this cute sarong in Oia, Santorini. I love it because it wraps around twice and is so easily made into a skirt. If I fold it in half, I can wear it shorter with a swimsuit as a coverup. The top on the left is from my closet, but THIS ONE is super cute and is packed and ready to go.
SHOES FOR CRUISIN
I’ve packed a good variety…. ALL COMFY! This trip is going to be ALL ABOUT COMFORTABLE! My ATHLETIC SHOES will be used in the gym and any excursions where shoes are required. I’ve got these LULU SANDALS and these darling FLOWER THONGS. THESE SLIDES are a great neutral pair that I’ll probably travel in. My dressiest pair are these STRAPPY 1″ HEELS. They feel so good on my feet. Lastly are some mules similar to THESE.
