WHAT I’D TELL MY BESTIE TO BUY ON AMAZON ~ Summer Fashion Finds for Women Over 50
It’s been a minute since I shared an Amazon Roundup (my last one was back in mid-May), and let’s just say….. I keep finding another that’s better than the last. Every time I think I’ve found my favorite Amazon look, another one shows up at my doorstep and somehow steals the spotlight. So, I figured it was time for another installment of all the pieces I’m telling my best friends and daughters about!
One thing Amazon absolutely nails (and I’ve said it before) are their matching sets. I’ve never found so many cute ones, and they’re so easy to wear, perfect for traveling, and incredibly affordable. They really are meant for almost anything. I’ve rounded up some of my latest favorites below, and I’ll share what I love about each one, how I would style it, and of course links to shop if it catches your eye. Some of these are so hard to resist….. honestly I’ve got to create more space in my closet and drawers for my Amazon finds.
CHECKS PLEASE
Checks are having a major moment this season….. you’ve probably noticed? These pants are at the top of my list. The relaxed palazzo silhouette is so comfy, and the tie-detail pockets make them even more fun. They’re also 100% cotton, which of course is perfect for summer. I’m wearing a super soft graphic tee because you can’t go wrong with a graphic tee…… I’ve loved them for years.
GO-TO PANTS
I knew I’d love these cropped lounge pants as soon as I saw them. The wide-leg cut, cropped length, and washed black color checked every box for me. I actually prefer washed black over solid black because it’s a bit softer. I’ve worn these everywhere….. even dressing them up with some kitten heels. The top has a relaxed, blousy fit with a cropped length that works perfectly on my shorter frame. If you’re taller, I’d pair it with some high-rise pants or simply be ok with some skin showing.
ONE SET ENDLESS OPTIONS
This skirt set is about as versatile as it gets. It comes in several beautiful colors, packs like a dream, and can be broken up to wear with so many other things. I love the classic look of the higher neckline paired with the sleeveless design… a great example of not showing too much skin all at once. And the side slit is just right…. enough to add movement without being too high. I really appreciate that about this set.
ANOTHER CHECKED FAVORITE
More checks please! This pair is a close second favorite. These color-blocked track pants are such a fun way to add some sporty vibes to your style. If there’s one style I’ll always gravitate toward, it’s anything with an athletic-inspired look. I kept the rest of the outfit simple with a classic white tank and finished it off with a pair of neon sandals I’ve had for years. It’s easy, fresh, current, and perfect for summer.
SPORTY AND VERSATILE
This striped knit set is another sporty fave. It has built-in shorts, for the coverage you’d want, and the sweatshirt is a piece you’ll wear long after summer. I love it paired with white jeans or denim shorts for an easy, casual look. With four fabulous color options, it’s a great choice now and will be perfect for those slightly cooler fall days…. especially if you enjoy golf!
Here’s another sporty set that certainly works, especially if you’re an active girl. With built-in shorts and a longer-length skirt, it’s perfect for tennis, pickleball, golf, bike rides, or any day you’re on the go. This vibrant green is my favorite shade…. so fresh, fun, and right for summer. I actually wore it on a recent family vacation for a day on the golf course, and it couldn’t have been more comfortable. This one is definitely a winner.
THE STRIPES HAD MY HEART
This set caught my eye the minute I saw it a couple of weeks ago. The stripes completely won me over! I love this beautiful color, but it also comes in several other great options. The fabric is a super soft knit and is not thin or flimsy. It’s incredibly comfortable, easy to wear, and one of those sets I can already tell I’ll be ordering in another color.
FREE PEOPLE DUPE
If you’re a fan of Free People, this set is an incredible dupe. The fabric is absolutely divine….. soft, comfortable, and it looks far more expensive than it is. It comes in other color options, which makes it hard to choose just one. From the fit to the feel, this is one of those outfits you’ll be wanting to wear again and again. ANOTHER SET TO LOVE
Have I convinced you yet that I have a thing for Amazon sets? This one has such a classic and timeless fit. The fabric isn’t just soft…. it’s buttery soft, making it incredibly comfy the minute you put it on. I fell in love with this beautiful blue, but I also have it in beige. And one feature I really appreciate is the arm hole covereage.
CLOSET STAPLES
These pants are just SO good. From the exceptional 100% cotton fabric to the flattering fit and all-day comfort, they’re a pair you’ll be repeating. They’re easy to dress up or keep casual, making them incredibly versatile. I paired them with this tee, which has great sleeves and an ultra-cozy fabric that feels amazing to wear. And with so many color options to choose from, you may have a hard time picking just one!
PACKING A PUNCH
This orange and pink striped knit skirt set definitely makes a statement! The bold colors are such fun, and it’s incredibly comfortable to wear. Pair it with sneakers for a Saturday, flat sandals for a lunch date with your girlfriends, or heels for dinner. This is the kind of thing I’d pack for a resort vacation.
EASY EVERYDAY LOOK
This outfit is proof that simple can still be stylish. The polo is a slightly heavier knit, which will make it the perfect transition piece for fall, but yet still can wear it now. It has an oversized fit (I can’t do that so have tucked it in), and another great sleeve. The flowy pants are incredibly versatile and look really great with heels….. in fact I like these more with a pretty heel, which I’ve done that too.
THE PERFECT SUMMER MAXI
This maxi dress is perfect in so many ways. First, the sleeves are just right, the drape is beautiful, and it has a great length. I love that you can wear it loose for an easy and relaxed look, or with a belt to define your waist. It’s the kind of soft, t-shirt-style dress you’ll love too!
