This is my dad…..HAPPY FATHER’S DAY DAD! I LOVE you very much!
My dad has had more influence on who I am and the way I am, I think more than anyone else. I grew up in a very large family. He was always there for us, never taking time for himself in any outside hobbies or interests. His work was always his day job, and then afterwards he was home teaching all of us how to work hard as well. I don’t ever recall him sitting around doing nothing. Still to this day, at 85 years old, he still “can’t sit still” as my mother would say! He has a big beautiful backyard, that he tends to it’s every need. It is meticulous anywhere you look. He knows each plant and every tree! And then on top of that he goes on a very long walk every day. He picked up golf after he retired, and I think that’s about the only thing he does really, outside of his home, and it brings him much enjoyment! He always encouraged us to be the best we could be, always pushing us to be good people! He has always provided for us, even if in a simple way, but we always had what we needed. I love my dad and am grateful for his steady faith, his reliability and integrity, and his example. He has influenced his posterity in a very positive way! I’m lucky to have been given such a remarkable father.
Hoping you all enjoy this day with the dads in your life!!!
