THE VALUE OF FAMILY TRADITIONS – MAKING MEMORIES THAT LAST
I have to have the best bonus family ever. The traditions that they have are inspirational. In the midst of such busy lives, family traditions play a crucial role in creating lasting connections and cherished memories. Our calendar this year for Christmas, isn’t just a list of dates. It’s a lineup of activities that will truly build those bonds of love and connection.
My husband’s family are all about getting together not just for an evening, but for multiple hours at a time, and loads of activities. My own family was the kind that got together and then we went home. So the schedule that I’ve married into, has been a bit of an adjustment for me. They are definitely the type to say, “THE MORE THE MERRIER!”
A JAM-PACKED CHRISTMAS CALENDAR
Starting this week our activities will consist of….. roller skating, target shooting, decorating cookies, picnics, ice skating, movie night, taco night, and game night, caramel apple making, pickle ball, hiking, nativity, Christmas lights, brunch with Santa, and swimming. And not only all this, but with each other ALL DAY on Christmas day. There is no such thing as “alone time” over here!!! We won’t be lacking in opportunities to strengthen our relationships with each other!
CREATING LASTING MEMORIES
There’s no question, that spending this much time together, we are creating long-lasting memories. I think back to when I was a little girl…. there were fancy dinners at my grandmother’s house, sleigh riding with cousins, and large Christmas gatherings at the church. Each of these events became a piece of yet another Christmas. One of my favorite parts of the season was always a Christmas story that my mama gave to each of her kids and grandkids. She would write a personal message inside the front cover on every single book! You can’t put a price on the value of family traditions!

THE VALUE OF TRADITIONS
With a world that’s so fast-paced and unpredictable, traditions offer stability and a sense of purpose. There is just no way you can put a value on family traditions. They transform moments into really special memories that will stay with us forever! Our family calendar reflects not just a schedule but a commitment to the significance of traditions in celebrating our FAMILY!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!
Beautiful Family! Yes my family only seem to get together on special occasions to eat. We all will meet at momma and daddys and spend the afternoons eating and talking. Sometimes we find ourselves helping them hang or fix something. I am the adventurous one in the family and if I could have it my way, my calendar would be full too.
Have a Merry Christmas

Hi Lisa! Thanks for stopping by! I have found it to be really interesting since being remarried, the dynamics of each individual family. We all have our ways of doing things, and so I guess the lesson learned for me, is to just be adaptable! Going with the flow is the best possible mindset!!! Have a WONDERFUL HOLIDAY! XO
