Happy Mother’s Day everyone!!!
When I was a little girl, becoming a mother was my biggest dream. I came from a large Mormon family, and I watched all through my years as a young girl, my mother taking care of her large flock!!! I had seven brothers and two sisters! WOW…it’s unbelievable to think of how she did it!!! She did everything so well. She was meticulous when it came to cleanliness. She made ALL of our bread, no kidding! I think it was twelve loaves a week, and she did it all by hand for most of my childhood. She made my clothes. She was a spiritual example of all that was good! I wanted to be just like her! I wanted to clean and take care of and nurture a family too! And when it came to cooking…..I would make the very best chocolate chip cookies ever! We would eat cereal for our meals because I never became attached to the kitchen! Lol!!!!! She was AND STILL IS……amazing! I love you mom!
I graduated from High School and got married soon after. I had three sons, all by the time I was 25 years old! I loved my little boys and was so happy to be their mother!! I never missed having a little girl…..I knew that boys were my destiny and I was just fine with that. I loved taking care of them, and making sure each of their needs were met. Sure, I made lots of mistakes along the way, but I tried to be the very best mom they could have. I loved my calling as a mother to each one of them, and still do!
When we found out our first grandchild was a little girl, I was over the moon! I hardly could believe a little girl was finally coming in to our family! I could start thinking pink and lace and ruffles! Now we have five little girls and two boys! I’m incredibly blessed by each one, and hope to have a positive influence on each of their lives! Each of them growing up way too quickly, and changing each time I see them!
I LOVE the lyrics to Lion Kings “The Circle of Life”…
It’s the Circle of Life
And it moves us all
Through despair and hope
till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the Circle
The Circle of Life!
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL! xo
It was always my dream growing up to have a house and a family. All of this came true. I consider this a great blessing from a loving Heavenly Father. I made a lot of mistakes as a mother, as I think all mothers do. But we learn from the mistakes and become better. I love my posterity. They are all wonderful people and they are loved very much by their parents, grandparents and great grandparents! xoxoxoxo
I LOVE you mom! xo
Family is the biggest blessing!! ❤️
My dreams were the same as yours, Shauna, both as a little girl for my future, and now as a “Grams” of 25!
