MY SHOE PICKS FOR SPRING

MY SHOE PICKS FOR SPRING

There’s something about that first stretch of truly warm days that instantly shifts how I get dressed. Suddenly, heavy layers are out and lighter, more effortless outfits take over….. and that’s when shoes really start to shine. I’ve always felt like shoes are just as important, if not more, than just an accessory. They have the power to pull everything together, or just the opposite! This spring, I’ll be searching for styles that feel as good as they look… because if they’re not comfy, I won’t get my money’s worth out of them. I’ve not always been that conscientious about my shoes, but these days it’s the only way.

Cute sneakers are everywhere right now. I mean, they’ve been hot for several years, but I feel like they’re getting better and better! This spring, I’m loving clean, minimalistic styles as well as all the colorful too. A classic neutral sneaker is always a go-to, but I always love having a colorful option. They’re easy, versatile, and more cool than ever now!

Living in the desert, sandals are absolutely what I want to wear. I’ve become more aware of my comfort level, so cushioned soles and supportive styles are necessary. Neutral tones like tans, creams, metallics, and black are always in my suitcase when traveling…. after all they go with everything. That being said, I also can’t resist a bold, colorful pair for a powerful punch!

Heels don’t have to mean sacrificing comfort. This season, I’m into lower block heels and comfy (more than 3-hour shoes) I can walk in comfortably. A heel will instantly elevate any outfit, whether it’s a dress or a casual jeans-and-top combo. I always choose a new neutral style, but again it’s the pop of color that can really make things interesting! Don’t you love the two pictured?

If I kept a running record of what I wear most as far as shoes go, the neutrals would win. But I don’t mean the typical tan, black, or cream. Even solid shades like greens, blues, reds, or yellows can feel just as versatile as a neutral when they pair easily with the rest of your wardrobe. They can be extremely versatile and will definitely go with more than you’d think. Check out these below…..

No matter what I’m wearing this spring, I know that my shoes will set the tone for my whole outfit. If I’m going for simple with a neutral pair or switching things up with something a little more playful, having options that are both comfortable and versatile makes getting dressed so much easier. These two HERE and HERE, are the styles that came home with me…… can’t wait to style them my way!
