GRAPES FROM CALIFORNIA SHORTBREAD COOKIES BUTTERY AND PERFECT FOR FALL
Fall baking just got a little sweeter….. and a whole lot fresher, thanks to Grapes From California! These shortbread cookies are so buttery, rich, decadent, with a juicy pop of sweetness right in the center. They’re simple to make, yet feel extra special… certainly the perfect treat to share at fall gatherings or wrap up as a thoughtful homemade gift.

INGREDIENTS
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
24 seedless grapes from California (red look prettiest)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2-3 teaspoons milk (for drizzle)
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla. Mix in flour and salt until just combined. Chill dough for 20 minutes.
Shape into 1-inch balls, flatten slightly, and press a grape into the center of each.
Bake 12-14 minutes, until set and lightly golden. Cool completely. Drizzle with powdered sugar-milk glaze for a pretty finish. Note: I didn’t add the glaze to mine.

TIPS
Use firm, seedless Grapes From California, to ensure they hold their shape. These are so cute for Halloween, looking like spooky little eyeballs, while a dusting of powdered sugar can add a snowy winter touch.

Thank you for the grape/cookie recipe. I’m also going to try it with a peanut butter cookie recipe. And wouldn’t a mix of red and green grapes look festive for Christmas?
Carole….. oh my goodness YES to the peanut butter idea! Let me know how they turn out! I’ve kept mine in the freezer and they are so good that way! They really are delicious and so pretty for the holidays!!! Thanks for your comment and come back again soon! XO
