FIVE TIPS FOR HEALTHY SKIN AT MIDLIFE
There are so many things to appreciate about midlife…. the wisdom and the confidence being just two of them. But it’s also a time when your skin’s needs are changing, and certainly it deserves the best care you can give it. With the right habits and consistency, glowing skin is absolutely achievable.
Here are my five tips for healthy skin at midlife. I truly believe that following these five simple habits can help you too. I’ve paid attention to my skin since my early teens, and can’t think of many times when I didn’t remove my makeup at night and cleanse and moisturize my face. Make these tips your habits, and part of your normal routine….. you’ll not be sorry!
HYDRATION IS ESSENTIAL
Healthy skin starts from within. Drinking plenty of water helps maintain elasticity, supports cell renewal, and keeps skin looking plump rather than dull or dry. Pair internal hydration with a quality moisturizer morning and night to lock in that moisture and strengthen the skin barrier.

NOURISH YOUR SKIN THROUGH DIET
What you eat shows up on your skin…. this is one of the things I notice first. Diets high in sugar can trigger inflammation and contribute to premature aging, while whole foods…. fruits, leafy greens, healthy fats, and lean protein, will support collagen production and overall radiance. Think of food as part of your skincare routine. I guarantee, if you’re eating healthy, your skin will definitely look better.

CONSISTENCY MATTERS MOST
The most effective routine is the one you follow every day. Gentle cleansing and mosturizing every morning and evening are vital for maintaining balance and preventing buildup or dryness. Reliable products, from trusted skincare lines like IMAGE and I’ve also loved ISOMERS….. can make daily care simple and effective. I’ve linked my morning and evening routines below. For evening you’ll want to start using the retinol serum one day a week, and work up to three. If your skin isn’t used to RETINOL, you’ll need to give it time to adjust.

NIGHT ROUTINE
SUPPORT RENEWAL WITH TARGETED TREATMENTS
One of the best tips I ever got, was to have one night a week that is a “self-care” night. Mine is Sunday. This is the night I use masques, peels, things along those lines. Depending on what your skin needs, is what you would want to focus on. THIS MASQUE is my very favorite. I put this on after my serum, with my moisturizer over the top. If my skin feels hydrated enough, I will just use the masque without moisturizer. THIS PRODUCT is another one that’s been recommended to me, but I’ve not tried it yet. It will be the next thing I purchase. Regular exfoliation removes dull surface cells and encourages brighter skin. Using a retinol product several times a week can further promote cell turnover, soften fine lines, and improve texture over time. The key is gradual, consistent use to avoid irritation.
NEVER SKIP SUNSCREEN
Sun protection is one of the most powerful anti-again tools available. Daily sunscreen shields skin from UV damage, dark spots, and collagen breakdown…. even on cloudy days. Applying it every morning is a small step with lasting impact and huge results down the road. THIS ONE FROM IMAGE is my is my favorite.

____________
Caring for midlife skin isn’t about being perfect….. it’s more about steady and thoughtful habits. I assure you, that these will help you look as vibrant as you feel!! And one thing worth noting…. do NOT be afraid to invest in your products. They can be on the pricey side, but you’re skin will thank you!
