FALL TRENDS THAT ARE WEARABLE

Fall has always been my favorite season to dress for…. the cozy layers, soft sweaters, chic boots, and of course, the scarves and hats that pull everything together. I want to chat about fall trends in this post. I may not try every new trend that rolls around each season, but I always love keeping an eye on what’s fresh and exciting. After all, fashion is meant to be fun! As we step into fall 2025, here are MY TOP TEN STYLE TRENDS that anyone can wear.

You don’t have to go all in to embrace the Western wear trend. It’s more about adding subtle touches, than wearing head-to-toe cowboy. Think denim on denim, touches of suede or velvet, or even a bit of corduroy for texture. Even if it was just a pair of jeans, boots, and Western accessories, you’d definitely be on-trend.

Brown is such a hot color for fall….. think of it as the new black, only softer and more versatile. It pairs beautifully with just about anything (yes, even black!) and adds instant warmth to your wardrobe. While Pantone’s 2025 pick was a lighter Mocha Mousse, fall fashion is leaning into richer, deeper shades of brown that feel both modern and timeless.

I’m seeing a lot of ruffles as we move into fall. They’re showing up on blouses, dresses, skirts, even pants, and add a beautiful romantic touch. They instantly uplift your look, whether it’s a soft ruffle at the neckline for a hint of femininity or bold, layered ruffles that make a statement. It’s an easy way to bring some movement and charm into your fall style.

The oversized puffer vest is a key outerwear trend this fall, bringing both style and coziness to layered looks. Wear it over slim knits or denim, and for extra pizazz, add a belt to define your waist and balance out the volume. I’m wearing THIS ONE in the picture above.

The peplum silhouette is making it big this fall, and I love it. It’s the perfect style if you love highlighting your waistline, since the flared hem creates instant shape and a flattering hourglass effect. Whether it be a top or jacket, peplum pieces will bring a sophisticated vibe to your fall wardrobe.

The slouchy trouser is such a cool trending style(wearing it above). It’s a relaxed and effortless vibe but still is polished. To keep them from overwhelming your frame (speaking to myself), pair them with a more fitted or tucked-in top to balance the proportions. I’m planning to wear them with sneakers for my next vacay, but you can also elevate them with some fabulous platforms and a feminine top.

Lace is always favorite of mine. Remember my lace jumpsuit I was married in? I love it! From dresses to blouses, it layers beautifully….. and I especially love when just a hint of lace peeks out from under a sweater or top. Feminine at heart, lace feels fresh this fall when styled with a little edge. Think of it with other textures, prints, and plaids.

Big statement belts are everywhere right now. They aren’t just practical, but the star! Cinch a blazer, trench, or flowy dress to define your waistline. Wearing them low-slung feels very cool. Loved wearing this cool leather belt I’ve had for years, HERE. It felt so right with my BROWN MAXI.

Nothing says cozy-chic like an oversized puffer coat or vest. Big and bold and extremely comfortable, these jackets are great for layering over sweaters and knits. They keep you warm without sacrificing style. Add a belt to define your waist and finish off your look.

A soft and slouchy leather bag is really surging right now. After years of smaller crossbody bags, it’s a refreshing change that’s roomy enough for more than just your essentials. They aren’t the best to travel with however….. more for weekends, errands, or city exploring. With so many affordable options they are an easy way to update your look.

I encourage you this fall, to try something new! It will be fun to experiment and fun to change things up. Which trend would you try first?
