FALL 2024 BOOT TRENDS | THE ONE PAIR YOU NEED

Undoubtedly, this fall boot trends are all about combining comfort with style, making them perfect for us middle-aged women who want to stay fashionable without sacrificing practicality. From slouchy styles to sleek knee-highs, there’s something for everyone this season. But if you could only choose one pair…. what would it be?

SLOUCHY STYLE- These are making a strong comeback for fall 2024. The slightly scrunched or gathered shaft, add a casual elegance to any outfit, a little bit BOHO. They’re very versatile…. pair them with everything from skinny jeans to flowy dresses or skirts. I’m not sure how I feel about them for me, but on someone with skinny calves and long legs, I love them.

KNEE HIGH STYLES ALWAYS SLEEK- This style is always timeless, and I’m seeing a lot of modern updates. Obviously you’ll get the most coverage with this style as well as support. Dress them up, but wear in a casual way too…. my favorite. Opt for a classic black or rich brown color in smooth leather, or a beautiful suede. Indeed, I LOVE the white! A neutral color will be the easiest to pair with all of your fall outfits, from jeans to dresses and skirts.

KITTEN HEELS FOR COMFORT- When it comes to heel height a kitten heel is perfect for comfort and style. In fact the kitten heel is having quite a moment right now. You’ll get some lift without being too high, which will make them easy to wear ALL DAY. If you’re like me, I’m loving these because of the all day factor.

THE CHELSEA IS AN ESSENTIAL- What exactly is the “Chelsea” boot? This style is ankle-high with elastic side panels that are easy to slip on and off. They are named after the Chelsea neighborhood of London, England, where they were worn by stylish locals.

THE EDGY FOLD-OVER- This is one of the hottest trends this fall, adding a super funky touch to any outfit. It looks best with skinny jeans, leggings, or flowy dresses. For the midlife woman, it’s best to avoid pairing these boots with overly baggy or shapeless clothing. This can create a bulky silhouette that lacks definition. Choose tailored or well-fitted pieces to create a more polished and sophisticated look. I’m not convinced this style is for me, but I never say never!
