My Dearest Mama,
On this Mother’s Day, my heart is so full with an abundance of love for you. I miss the sound of your voice on the phone, your hugs, and most important the wisdom that you always shared so effortlessly.
I find myself all the time, thinking about those weekly phone conversations, when we would chat about what you’ve been doing, what I’ve been doing. We would laugh and cry and I always felt so comfortable telling you almost anything. Each call was a precious reminder of the bond we shared, despite the miles that separated us for the last few years of your life.
The smell of freshly baked bread and rolls was the best. I’m so grateful we all have your yummy recipes in the recipe book we made for you. What a treasure it is, to be able to carry on the memories of the meals you prepared for all of your ten children.

The temple holds a special place in my memories, because it was there that you found solace and strength in our faith. It was a place and time you cherished, and that love certainly makes me LOVE it all the more. What a love for God you had, and that influence on me meant more than you’ll ever know.
Your guidance, your comfort, your tremendous wisdom….. they are irreplaceable treasures that I hold close to my heart. In times of stress and hard moments, I find myself going to the words of advice you gave me along the way. Your strength was beyond amazing. Dear mama I love you.
Even though I miss you, I’m filled with gratitude for the countless lessons you have taught me. Your example of resilience, faith, and hard work continues to inspire me. And one more thing mama…. I’m so lucky to have benefitted from your histories and journals that you so diligently kept. Reading them brings me closer to you, no doubt.
Dear mama, I love you! Just three years since you passed, I want you to know that you are cherished beyond measure, and your absence only makes me realize how much of an impact you were! My LOVE for you knows no bounds….. I can’t wait to see you again mama!
