CURATED CHRISTMAS STOCKINGS WITH HEART
Christmas stockings have always been one of my favorite things to put together. There’s something magical about them…. tiny thought out treasures that especially my grandkids look forward to. Stockings aren’t just fillers or afterthoughts, at least they shouldn’t be! To me, they’re a thoughtful collection of what a person loves. I have such a fun time gathering items that reflect someone’s style, hobbies, humor, and of course sweet treats!
So whether you’re new to the curated stocking idea, or you have a way to put them together that you’ve always used, here are some ideas to make them special for everyone on your list!
FOR HIM
This is probably the most practical of all the stockings I put together. Cologne, cozy socks, favorite snacks, a funny keychain, or a gadget he didn’t know he needed! Slip in his favorite candy…. my hubs loves vintage candies from his childhood. Or perhaps a gift card he can keep in his car to use at his fave fast food.
FOR SONS OR GRANDSONS
Make it playful! Stickers, mini puzzles, card games, socks (I always add socks), fun toothbrushes or pens, riddle books, beanies, hand warmers, fidget toys, and of course the treat they always love. Depending on age, I often add gift cards to ANY of my stockings.
FOR DAUGHTERS OR GRANDDAUGHTERS
This is where I have the most fun! There are ideas galore for girls! I first think about makeup…. lipgloss, eyeshadows, and blush. But what about lotion, bath bubbles, jewelry, a cute note pad, or an adorable stuffed animal? Anything to make her feel pampered is a perfect idea.
FOR YOUR BESTIE
Nothing will make your bestie feel more special. Travel-size anything, cozy socks, a friendship bracelet, a pretty lotion, or a scarf. But my favorite idea would be a small framed picture of the two of you!
FOR YOUR PARENTS
My parents have both passed, but if your’s were like mine….. you know how important it is to be both thoughtful and practical when choosing gifts for them. For example, my mama would have absolutely loved the soft washcloths I use on my face…. linked below. In addition, word-puzzle books, gourmet treats, gift cards to their favorite restaurants, and soft, squishy socks or slippers are perfect options.
