And my velvet skirt is truly going on and on and on! I’ve been wearing it all week, and it’s the most comfy thing ever. This would be the absolute perfect skirt to pack in your suitcase for a trip away, because it will not wrinkle! I really liked it with this floral kimono! The pattern mix is fabulous. The kimono, I’ll be showing another way too, and will be a piece I’ll be showing on Good Things Utah on Tuesday…styled three ways! It too has some velvet going on…..LOVE this piece! It’s not super long, and so for my height it works so well! Wear it with or without a belt. The skirt will always go with anything denim, and here I’ve worn my denim jacket like a shirt. I love to do this with my jacket, because it gives it a cropped feel. The pops of color in the skirt give you so many options for styling! I love the bright purply color of the oversized sweater with it!
With a skirt like this you have so many shoe options as well. Booties, heels, mules, flats, even the right sneakers would work! What about a deep wine colored pair….I’ve linked some for you below. I love the yellow pair I have on with the denim jacket….such a great fall color!
And another way I thought was a cute way to style the skirt…pull it up higher and wear as a dress! This got some negative comments on my Instagram feed, and I don’t think it would work for EVERYONE. For me I liked it….you don’t have to, I understand. But the tee shirt underneath is a thin material, thin stripe. The ruffle on the sleeve added a feminine touch. It might be something fun for you to try!!!
