Sitting curbside in my little white flowery top…..
do you wear white after Labor Day?
So I’m sort of mixed on this topic.
For some things, absolutely no, and this is one of those tops for me.
I can’t see it outside of spring and summer.
Maybe if I lived in Florida I would feel differently about it,
but where I live we definitely have a fall and a winter season!
But what about white jeans, white sweaters, white shoes?
For white jeans, yes I’ll probably wear them a few more times through the fall.
White pants though, NO, not me. And I can’t explain why jeans and not pants!
White sweaters I feel the same about. When we get more in to winter I go with an off-white color.
White shoes, I just like white tennies.
But if I lived in a warm climate in the fall and winter, then I think I would wear more white.
There are those who will say, there are NO rules, wear what you want.
And if you’re one of those then yes, absolutely you should do what YOU feel good in.
If I wanted to wear say a long floral maxi dress in the fall, I would consider this…
if it’s summer colors, wearing it with something more fallish looking.
For example I was looking for something to wear to a black-tie event.
I found a fabulous skirt that is sort of spring/summer-like, BHLD at Anthropologie.
But for the top I chose a sparkly charcoal gray, which took the skirt right in to fall.
Anyway…..just a few of MY thoughts on this!
Have a HAPPY weekend friends!
