A FEW THINGS I’M LOVING THIS FALL ~ FASHION, HOME DECOR & SEASONAL FAVORITES
I’ve said so many times before…. fall is my favorite! It always makes me want to freshen things up a bit with my style, my home, and even my diet. The cooler mornings are LOVELY, and seeing the colors start to pop makes me want to just feel settled. Lately I’ve been reaching for a few things over and over again, that I had to share.
These are a mix of what sparks that cozy vibe in me. A couple of outfits that have been making me happy, and even what changes I’ve made under my roof. Nothing too complicated…. believe me, I’m getting simpler and simpler. Just some seasonal things that make everyday life feel a little more fun.
A LITTLE BIT OF FASHION
Fall fashion is all about easy layers that still feel put together. For example, cozy sets, lightweight sweaters, and scarves can take you through those in-between days so easily. Plus, I’ll always add some fun color because that’s what fall is!

SIMPLE TOUCHES OF FALL DECOR

BRANCHES ~ BRANCHES ~ VASE ~ PUMPKIN ~ PUMPKIN
I’m very simple when it comes to decor….. less is more for me. And I’m not much of a Halloween girl, so starting now until Christmas my fall touches work for both October and November. Changing out green for some FALL BRANCHES in my pots, a few pumpkins (I like to get those tiny ones at the grocery store), adding a couple of CANDLES to my coffee table, a colorful throw pillow on the sofa, and a WREATH on the front door, and I’m good. Easy to get out and put away and I don’t have to change it from holiday to holiday.

FAVORITE FALL FOODS
One of my favorite things about fall is the delicious and hearty food! We love to eat a lot of soup this time of year. The veggies, the beans, even the broth….. all yummy! My husband is the best soup maker of all time. I eat more roasted vegetables…. sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, carrots, cauliflower, beets, and onions. They’re so easy to make, filling, and naturally high in fiber.

One of my favorites is a baked sweet potato, and we usually split one. Then, we pile on whatever sounds good… chopped grilled chicken, low-fat cottage cheese, or yogurt mixed with a little syrup and cinnamon to taste. From there, we might add chopped pistachios, avocado, salsa, or even a drizzle of honey. Basically, we get creative and use whatever we have on hand! And honestly, potatoes just fit into that cozy “comfort food” category, especially this time of year.
Keep drinking your water, I actually like warm water this time of year even more. No question that warm water can make hydration more appealing. A lot of my protein this time of year comes from beans! Put them in soups, salads as well as even pureeing them and adding to your recipes. My husband did that the other day with his stew and it was so good. I like to top my low-fat/high fiber banana bread with a spoonful of high protein cottage cheese. Especially delicious warmed up!
