MY INTENTIONAL AFRICA SUITCASE

I’m headed to Africa for the second time, TODAY. Obviously, I couldn’t be more excited! Never did I dream of getting to go twice! The weather will be similar to how fall is here (in the 70’s), therefore layers are essential. Additionally, my goal was to pack in a cohesive color scheme with pieces that are versatile!!! As a result, being creative has been key, and consequently, my packing had to be both smart and intentional.

Undoubtedly, you’ve heard me talk about packing in certain colors. My suitcase will be full of earthy and subtle tones…… and definitely not very flashy. Indeed, it may be borderline BORING! But it’s exactly what works for this kind of travel. Long pants, lightweight sweaters and jackets, a sweater set, and another dressier set. Also taking a variety of long and short sleeve shirts. In addition to these, I’m bringing two pairs of comfortable shoes, and one pair of metallic booties. And listen to this, barely any jewelry or makeup! The goal is simple, comfortable, and appropriate for the places I’ll be visiting.

I’m adding in a touch of fun with a few scarves to spice up my basics. Scarves are such an easy way to add some personality, and they don’t take up any room in your bag. I’m also taking a backpack for travel to and from as well as any safaris and excursions.

Firstly, let’s look at what I have put together for now. You can see that I can move these pieces around for all different kinds of looks. This is the beauty of packing within a color scheme. Without a doubt, I can break up the sets to wear separately, as well as wear them dressed up or down. I should note too, that some of the items are similar, since I shopped my closest for this trip.
