WHAT’S IN FOR 2025 – BUT WHAT’S YOU?
Every year….. (I’m a little late to the game here), I love diving into what the fashion gods say is IN. It’s fun, inspiring, and gives me fresh ideas in how to elevate my own style. But after sifting through all the trends and opinions, there are always some that I have fun trying, but also lots I leave by the wayside. This year is no exception. I’ve curated a list that I believe is the most relevant and helpful in helping someone discover their own style.
Here’s the thing….. YOUR PERSONAL STYLE ALWAYS WINS! Trends come and go, but the way you feel in your clothes matters most. Some women wear pieces that are technically “out”, yet they radiate confidence and look incredible. Why? Because style isn’t just about what’s trending…. it’s about what fits your personality, lifestyle, and makes you feel fabulous!

THIS IS MY LIST OF TEN DOs FOR 2025
BIGGER HANDBAGS – The smaller sized bags have been a thing for several years. But the bigger bags are making a comeback. I’m not sure I love the idea. I have loved carrying only what I need, especially while traveling. If you’re in, think slouchy totes, structured top-handle bags, and roomy shoulder bags. These will definitely carry all your essentials!
TWEED CHANEL-LIKE JACKETS + DRESSES – Timeless and polished sophistication, tweed jackets and dresses add instant class. Whether layered over jeans for a modern twist or worn as a set, these pieces are totally chic. As you see here, THIS ONE is fantastic with pants or jeans! Lots of tweed options you’ll see below. Loving the SANDALS.
LIGHT BREEZY LAYERS IN NEUTRALS – Soft, flowing fabrics in shades of oatmeal, ivory, taupe, and sand create a relaxed beachy-type vibe. Lightweight fabrics, linens, and airy cotton layers look beautiful all layered up.
ANIMAL PRINTS MADE MODERN – Leopard prints have dominated in this category. But ZEBRA….. is fresh and modern. I would think of this in terms of accessories, like belts, scarves, and bags. I’ve got some super cute zebra print flats (wearing above) that I’ve hardly worn and were expensive, that I’ll definitely be wearing!!!!
JEANS IN CLASSIC WASHES – Denim trends come and go, but classic washes and timeless cuts never go out. This year, it’s all about dark indigo, light blue, and the ever-flattering straight-leg fit. These jeans are everywhere…. even the younger girls. They work with pretty much any shoe, and can look so sophisticated. This one I’ll definitely be IN on, but will probably always love my baggy distressed kind too.
GIRLY PASTELS LIKE PETAL PINK – Ultra-feminine shades will be making quite a statement for 2025. Whether in a tailored blazer, cozy knits, or flowing dresses, these pastels are really romantic. I don’t love very many pastel shades on myself, so may put this one aside. As I said earlier, IF you like go for it! If not….. wear what looks best on you!
CROPPED TRENCH COATS – A fresh take on the timeless trench is the cropped version. Perfect as we move into spring. Layer them over dresses, and high-waisted jeans and trousers. I’m loving this trend….. my height has much to do with that! LOL!! If you’re not into cropped, go for one that hits where YOU like it! Trenches will always be a DO!
BOAT SHOES IN ELEVATED SUEDE – The classic boat shoe gets a chic upgrade with rich suede textures and modern silhouettes. These aren’t your old-school Sperrys….. did you have some too? Think more refined. I LOVE THESE! They come in twelve colors!
SLIM TROUSERS SO JACKIE-O – I love this trend. Classic, ladylike, and polished, they certainly are a staple. I will be wearing them with a tee shirt and sandals come springtime and summer. I’ve LOVED THESE from Target, I’m wearing them HERE. But honestly, CHICOS has the best in my opinion.
CLASSIC STRIPES ARE EVERYWHERE – Stripes are forever stylish, but this season it’s preppy and polished. Look for pieces like oversized blazers, flowing dresses, tailored trousers, and bold striped knitwear. Style them up or down, whatever suits YOUR style.
