Shopping For Summer Dresses

Girls….it’s time to start shopping for summer dresses! You’ve heard me say that I prefer summer dresses over shorts or jeans any day! Why? Well they make me feel more girly and feminine, I think they are more flattering than shorts on someone my age, and they are much more comfortable in the hot months!

This dress I’m wearing here, I posted way back in the beginning of my blog. It was taken in Palm Desert and was everything a summer dress should be. There are so many options out there for us women. There’s dresses, midi or maxi, and skirts the same! I even like to wear a palazzo pant which feels like a skirt to me!

I just bought this one. It’s SO CUTE for Memorial Day celebrations here in the US. It’s got the cutest frayed hem and easy cool fabric. The belt brings it all in nicely for you at your own comfort level. I loved it with these sneakers!!! These sneakers by the way are FABULOUS! They will be going with me to……! Well, it’s actually top secret until Monday! You can watch my Instagram Stories for very subtle hints!!!!!!

I wanted to share some other fun summer dresses with you to shop. Remember how you can change any of them up with your accessories and shoes. By just doing that, you can achieve a completely different look! So….let’s go shopping for summer dresses!!!

I would wear any of these with flip-flops, flat sandals, or sneakers. For some reason we’re programmed to think that sneakers DON’T go with dresses. But it is one of the cutest ways to dress down a dress! You’ll feel girly and comfy and so carefree! HAPPY SHOPPING!!!

  1. Shauna, I am brand new to your blog and love your postings. So true about wearing sneakers with dresses. Style doesn’t have to be uncomfortable! 😉

  2. Hoping to wear a dress to the wine fest on Memorial Day. They can be sooo much cooler to wear than jeans or even shorts. Love your dress and pinned a lot of the cute skirts you linked to. Thanks for the inspo.

  3. I also love skirts for summer. Much cooler than shorts or pants. They look cute with tees, a crisp sleeveless white blouse, or flowey tank.
