Going Through Covid With HIM!

Wow…. what a crazy couple of months! Going through COVID with HIM has been a blessing! I can’t even imagine how different it would be without my husband by my side! I will admit that where I live, it has been easier to deal with, because we haven’t had as tight of restrictions, and only 85 confirmed cases and 1 death in my county. We have such beautiful outdoor areas here that have been open for the most part, with social distancing guidelines in place. There is so much open space, that people are really spread out…… so for sure LUCKY to live here!

Who is your partner in life? Do you TRUST them? Do you get EXCITED to see them? Do you RESPECT them? These are all questions that you need to think about. Going through life without a YES to these questions can make life so hard and stressful. I’ve lived it both ways, and so I absolutely know what a marriage with TRUST, EXCITEMENT, AND RESPECT is like.

A lot of you have emailed me about relationships and such. And believe me I’m not an expert on marriage, but I just know through my experience that it’s work and commitment! A marriage is NEVER easy, but when you have the same values, it sure does make it a whole lot easier!!!

I have been married now for 8 months! It sounds impossible. You know the whole feeling of it seeming like it was yesterday, but then it seems like forever? Well….. that’s how I feel! We talk about the beginning of our relationship often. How it started, how it went, and what it is now. There’s no denying that it was all orchestrated by a higher being. To me that is God. He carefully aligned things so that we could be together FOREVER!

I’m grateful EVERY day for a partner that LOVES me and treats me with such respect! If there is any advice I could give to another who is struggling in a relationship…. it would be to PRAY! Prayer has guided me every step of the way. Your prayer may be different than my prayer, but I believe it is the same! There IS someone there to listen and guide you IF you want it and IF you listen!

This has been heavy, and not fashion-oriented at all, but I just wanted to share. I know that when someone has gone through something already that you are dealing with, the best person to talk to is one that REALLY KNOWS where you’re at! Going through COVID with him has made it doable! I’m learning that his CALM personality is so comforting!

BEST WISHES friends, as you start to regain some norm!

  1. I too am lucky. We just compliment each other. We’re the same and couldn’t be more different. After being together 30 years, I love him more today than the day we got married. There is no magic formula. It’s the right person at the right time. Sounds like you figured it out 😉

    1. It’s a beautiful thing to know that after years of being together, your LOVE can continue to grow! XOXO

  2. I’m a follower, that never comments. Just loves following or I wouldn’t. I’m 62 if that matters. I had to comment today because another sweet girl probably 40ish had a follower make a terrible remark to her when she fell and hurt herself with a terrible break. I don’t understand these people. Obviously an unhappy person. Turn if off if you don’t like what you read. Maybe the times we are going through are causing some to be angry and cruel. But, please…Ignore those unhappy souls. Blessings to you and your new life.

    1. Hi Teresa…. THANK YOU! Yes, I seriously just pray for those that are hurting that bad. I hope you are well and getting through this with a smile! Take care girl! XO

  3. I needed this today. My marriage of 40 years on June 7, is a struggle at times. Highs and lows. I thought the lows would subside at this age but to my dismay they don’t and at times get worse. My husband has a lot of anxiety and has become very antisocial, it makes even a simple conversation difficult. I used to pray to God for a change in him, with no success. I just recently had a revelation, now I pray to God to know how I should deal with him and this whole situation.
