One of the ideas I had this coming year, was to show you how to wear things in your closet MORE THAN ONE WAY! This sequined skirt I wore here and I LOVED it with this sweater!!!! The blush color with the two reds in the sweater is such a GREAT color combo! I loved it here in this picture with the laid back flannel shirt by Madewell, and the leather choker. It took the skirt down a notch, which if you know me, I LOVE to mix glam with grunge! And guess what….

I can’t wait to wear it with a graphic sweatshirt, a tee shirt and leather bomber jacket, or a faux fur jacket! And think of it for spring/summer!!! So cute! Even wear it with tennies and a striped tee! So…..you can see that it’s a skirt for ANY SEASON, and nearly ANY OCCASION!!!

Shauna, could I get your thoughts & ideas on ripped/distressed jeans?
I was in Egypt at the time when ripped jeans were the height of fashion. I sent mine to the hotel laundry to be washed and back came a note asking if I wanted the rips repaired. Having to explain that the rips were part of decadent designer Western fashion was mortifying in a country where poverty was everywhere. Of course now trying to buy jeans which don’t have designer rips is a challenge!
WOW Shauna now here’s a combination that stands out! I love how you paired the glam and grunge…It’s like life, always a synthesis of contradictions! This skirt is a real find and great color that you can wear 24/7/365 dressing it up or down with accessories and garments! Being focused on detail I love how the sequin lines on the sides of the skirt match, this is a sign of good quality craftmanship…P.S. I would probably hide a sparkling vest under the T-shirt and some bold statement earrings in my bag to be ready for those night drinks 😉
